Jordan Higby is 24 years old and has been a teaching artist at CYT Tri-Valley intermittently since 2016. Jordan has trained in both classical and contemporary ballet for 18 years at Livermore School of Dance under Shelly Schoendienst and Brittany Bond-Braatz, where she is now on staff as an instructor. After graduating high school, Jordan attended Contra Costa Medical Career College where she earned her certification and licensure as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT). She then began her Undergraduate degree at Las Positas College where she attended for 2 years. In September of 2020, she transferred to California Baptist University. Jordan graduated from CBU with academic honors in May of 2022 with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies with an emphasis in speech. She hopes to go back to school next year to earn her Masters in Strategic Communication in the hopes of working in the Child Welfare system. Jordan loves teaching and sharing her love of dance and theater. No matter where her professional life takes her, she hopes to always have the time to teach and guide the next generation of performers!
