Description

Ready to laugh, create, and shine?

In Comedy & Improv Stars, students ages 8–12 will explore character creation, physical comedy, and the fundamentals of improvisation in a playful, supportive environment. Through games, sketch work, and ensemble-building activities inspired by shows like Saturday Night Live and Whose Line Is It Anyway? (kid-friendly style!), students will learn to think on their feet, make bold choices, and trust their creative instincts.

The session ends with a live showcase where students perform short sketches and improv games for family and friends!

No experience needed — just imagination and a willingness to play.

John Mack

John hails from the great state of Wisconsin, where he received a Bachelor of Music from Lawrence University. After college, he moved to New York City, where he studied improv at Improvolution with the highly acclaimed Holly Mandel, a former member of the Groundlings house team. Outside of CYT, John spends his days working as a product development project manager in the Medical Device industry. John is married to his lovely and effervescent wife Heather, raising three kids, two dogs, and a cat.
