Description

On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...a hilarious play? Shakespeare wrote Twelfth Night for the Feast of Epiphany. We hope to have our own epiphanies, as we play with this zany comedy, with its hidden and mistaken identities, jokes and love triangle/quadrangle. It also has some of the funniest scenes and juiciest monologues! Through activities, scene work and table reads, you’ll learn new vocabulary, develop your comic timing and character work, and
expand your acting range!

*Class students who are cast in Wizard of Oz are expected to attend their CYT class weekly.  More than one class absence may affect the student's casting/participation in the show; a scene, a dance, a role, or the show.

Teacher:

Koreen Paterson

Koreen is a former school psychologist and teacher turned homeschooling mom. She started performing in musicals in fourth grade—and has been in love with them ever since! Her journeying in theater has included writing and directing a musical for a summer missions team and running a summer Shakespeare program in the local public library. She has also sung in a traveling performance choir and directed a small girls’ choir. Koreen is excited to join the CYT family and continue to learn and grow together!
