Stitch by Stitch: Your First Steps in Sewing- a class for students and *adults!

Discover the joy of creation in this comprehensive, 10-week beginner's sewing session! (Intermediate students are welcome) Whether you're 8 or 80, this class is designed for anyone who has always wanted to learn how to sew but didn't know where to start. We will cover all the essential techniques, from threading a needle to finishing a garment, in a fun, supportive, and relaxed environment.

No prior experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a sewing machine!

*All adults must be cleared CYT parents only at this time.

Hi! I’m Lonna Barnhill, Grandma to Carlee and Preslee Brazil. I’ve been on the Costume Committee for three consecutive shows here at CYT. Sewing is my passion, and I love teaching others how to sew. I’ve even taught some of the Costume Committee members how to use a sewing machine, as well as all my granddaughters—and many more! I'm looking forward to teaching this important skill to even more people. :)
