Description

Are you an 8-12 year old who would like audition for a show, here at CYT or elsewhere, but need some help preparing vocal selections and monologues or for dance auditions? Maybe you are looking for a class that goes over the basics of becoming a triple threat? This is a great intro class that teaches the techniques of a good musical theater audition, including voice, dance and acting, and prepares you to go out and shine!

*Class students who are cast in Wizard of Oz are expected to attend their CYT class weekly.  More than one class absence may affect the student's casting/participation in the show; a scene, a dance, a role, or the show.

Koreen Paterson

Koreen is a former school psychologist and teacher turned homeschooling mom. She started performing in musicals in fourth grade—and has been in love with them ever since! Her journeying in theater has included writing and directing a musical for a summer missions team and running a summer Shakespeare program in the local public library. She has also sung in a traveling performance choir and directed a small girls’ choir. Koreen is excited to join the CYT family and continue to learn and grow together!
