Description

A show choir (previously known as a "swing choir") is a musical ensemble that combines choral singing with choreographed dance. This show choir will consist of a variety of musical selections and include choreography that we create as a class. Within a song, vocal lines will alternate between unison singing, and two-three part harmony.  Songs will be chosen, adapted, and arranged from a variety of sources including greatest hits and Broadway musicals.

Show choir performers will wear a costume that matches the theme of the our chosen showcase songs, along with stage makeup and black dance shoes.

*Class students who are cast in Wizard of Oz are expected to attend their CYT class weekly.  More than one class absence may affect the student's casting/participation in the show; a scene, a dance, a role, or the show.
