Aejin Jeon is a seasoned music educator and director with over three decades of experience in vocal and instrumental training. She is starting teaching at CYT this spring, 2026 and very excited to meet her students. Her musical journey began in South Korea, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Chung-Ang University and took top honors at the University of Seoul Vocal Competition. After moving to New Zealand in 1997 and later settling in California in 2000, Aejin expanded her expertise by earning a Master of Arts in Worship Leadership (MAWL) from Golden Gate Theological Seminary, double majoring in Voice and Guitar. Since 1995, she has dedicated her life to nurturing talent across all generations—directing children’s and adult choirs and overseeing instrument programs for students of all ages. Aejin’s teaching philosophy is rooted in her lifelong love for music, a passion she balances with her joy for cooking and community.
