Teacher:

Steve Glavan

Steve Glavan is excited to return to CYT. His love of all things performance has not only given him a lifetime of personal joy, but has allowed him to share that joy with others as a teacher, director, and entertainer. He finds particular fulfillment working with young people, possibly because he insists that he has never really grown up. “As I recall,” he says, “my childhood began at an early age and never ended.” Steve began acting in plays while in elementary school, and continued throughout high school and college, as well as appearing in church productions and community theater. He has written and performed original plays and parodies, always with a wholesome, family-friendly theme. He is also a singer, and served as a choral director for children’s, youth, and adult church and community choirs for more than thirty years. A business owner and consultant, he serves on the board of directors of the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance. Steve lives in Pleasanton with his wife, Caryl. They have three adult children and four not-so-adult grandchildren.
