Class Description

Are you up for a theatrical adventure?  Feeling flexible and up for anything?  This class is for you and Director Tracy Whitney has got your back.

While the COVID rules keep-a-changing, we still want to offer a class for those students who’d like to be in-person and rehearse ‘something,’ perform it ‘somehow,’ in ‘someway.’   Sure, we don’t know if we’ll be able to be inside, but we can be outside.  Maybe sometimes we're a little cold or maybe we Zoom if it's raining:  we’re actors - we improvise.  AND we’ll have fun.   Trust the process.

This class is for actors who want to meet in-person whenever possible, to rehearse and perform.  Likely a one-act play and hopefully performed more than once on March 20 (we've got some ideas...).  Tentative rain date: March 21.  In-person locations are Livermore and Pleasanton.  All health guidelines will be followed.

The joy will be in the journey and we're all in for making theatre possible.  Join Mrs. Whitney on the adventure and see where our art takes us.

Tracy Whitney

Tracy Whitney co-founded CYT Tri-Valley in 2014 and remains on the board of directors in addition to teaching and directing. She really enjoys seeing the lightbulb turn on in the eyes of students of ALL ages, from the littlest Wiggles to the most experienced teaching artist, as we develop character one stage at a time. As a performer, Tracy strives to make the most of every opportunity to claim the arts for Christ and use our talent to bring glory to God. A graduate of Chapman University, favorite experiences include problem solving with extreme cast sizes from 3 to 300! Tracy loves a seat in the front mezz, giving book talks, and boating.
