Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Musical!  CYT LITE!
Disney's Frozen  CYT Mainstage
All programming:  Cornerstone (next to Costco) Livermore
Performances: The Bankhead Theater, Livermore

THREE STEPS:
  1. Register for a CYT Tri-Valley FALL Class
  2. Choose an Audition Time Slot - space is limited (8/14 is full)
    • When you register for class OR through your CYT family account
  3. Complete the ACTOR AUDITION FORM LINK 
AUDITIONS:  August 12-14 by sign up; times vary. 
Audiences welcome! Invite friends!
DO NOT perform material from this season's 6 shows.
  • REQUIRED:   
    • MONOLOGUE no longer than 30 seconds
      • Any published play, musical, movie, book
    • SONG no longer than 1 minute
      • We prefer musicals to see your character choices
      • Upload a backing track to your Audition Form
        • Add start and stop times
        • Tracks are stopped at 1 minute
    • The CHOREOGRAPHY dance - Choreo Link HERE
      • Performed on stage with other actors - TWICE! 
      • Required for both shows
      • (Frozen has an additional Tap Dance Choreo Video for CALLBACKS only. See Callback section below.)
Can't attend auditions? Send a video audition to kw@cyttrivalley.org NO LATER than 7pm Aug. 13.
Video callbacks are not available. 

CALLBACKS:  August 15; 8:30am - 2:00pm CASTING:  
  • Cast List is emailed to all actors no later than Aug. 17 at 7pm; our goal is Aug. 16 before 8pm. It is posted to the CYT website August 18
  • Actors who are cast may NOT change their appearance (hair cuts/color, piercings, etc) without permission of the Show's Director

Commitment

Rehearsals:  August 21/22 through (Wimpy Kid) Oct. 3 or (Frozen) Oct. 31
Actors are called for times within the rehearsal period. Every rehearsal has an 'All-Company Break.'
  • Fridays 4:30-8:30pm
  • Saturdays 8:30am-1:30pm
Mandatory Parent Expectations:  Together we do great things!
One parent per actor:
  1. Is assigned to faithfully serve a production committee (i.e.Costumes, Makeup/Hair, Props, Sets, Tech)
  2. Must attend the TWO parent meetings (Aug 22 & date specific to actor's casting)
  3. Must work BOTH Load In & Load Out for their actor's show.
  4. Thank you in advance for meeting these requirments. If a family doesn't complete their parent responsibilities, future student casting will be limited.
CONFLICTS:  Students must submit ALL known conflicts prior to auditioning
  • Commit to the show; keep absences to a minimum
  • All conflicts are considered during casting.
  • ALL decisions are at the discretion of the Artistic Team.  
  • Unlisted absences from CLASSES OR REHEARSAL may result in the actor's reduction or removal from a dance, a scene, a role, or the production. This is not a punishment; it reflects the importance we place on classes and casting.  
  • NO ABSENCES PERMITTED during Dress/Tech rehearsals, and Performances.

  • Fri/Sat. October 2 & 3  Dress Rehearsals @ Cornerstone
  • Mon. Oct. 5, 4-9pm:  Load In and Tech Night @ The Bankhead
  • Tues/Wed. Oct 6, 7:  4 performances @ The Bankhead
   Frozen
  • Fri/Sat. Oct. 30-31: Final Rehearsals @ Cornerstone (before Halloween!)
  • Mon. Nov. 2-6 @ 4pm-9pm:  Tech Week @ The Bankhead
  • Nov. 7-8 AND Nov 13-15:  6 performances @ The Bankhead
PRODUCTION FEE* --   CYT LITE! = $350; CYT Mainstage = $395; Orchestra = $325
  • Includes Show shirt, Cast photo, Strike party for participant
  • Mainstage families (Frozen only) may split into two payments. Not available for LITE! shows.
  • Actors who don't pay their fee/installment may not attend rehearsal and casting changes may be made.
*Production Fee Scholarships are available!  For the first time ever, thanks to a generous grant from Pleasanton North Rotary Foundation, CYT Tri-Valley is pleased to offer limited, need-based financial aid for production fees in the 2026-27 season. We highly recommend turning in your application well in advance of your audition day to know if a scholarship will be granted if you are cast.  Scholarship Application

Bring your students to see their favorite characters come to life on stage!  CYT LITE! brings beloved literary characters to the Bankhead stage in quality productions by performers ages 8-18.
